Jerry O'Neil Morris, Sr Lamar - Jerry O'Neil Morris, Sr, age 67, of Florence passed away Tuesday, June 07, 2016. Funeral services will be held 3:00pm Thursday, June 9th in the Lamar chapel at Belk Funeral Home with burial following at Lamar Cemetery. Born August 7, 1948 in Florence, SC, Jerry is the son of the late Archie Samuel Morris and Edna Louise Mims. He served in the U.S. Army, and then worked as a truck driver. Jerry was an avid NASCAR fan and when he was younger he raced in dirt track races. Jerry always saw beauty and purpose in all aspects of life. Surviving are his wife of 36 years, Brenda Watford Morris; his two sons, Jerry (Angel) Morris and Chris Morris, all of Florence; his two daughters, Crystal (Tripp) Timmons of Timmonsville and Connie (Tony) Nettles of Effingham; ten grandchildren; and his sisters, Linda Faye (Doug) Skipper of Myrtle Beach and Nancy Morris Barth of Effingham. Preceded in death in addition to his parents is his daughter, Angela "Angel" Morris Trail. The family will receive friends from 2-3pm Thursday at Belk Funeral Home Lamar Chapel, and other times at 240 Jerry Ln Florence, SC 29505.
