It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jerrald "Jerry" Allen Miner, who left us peacefully on August 5, 2025, at the age of 65. Born on September 26, 1959, in Sumter, South Carolina, Jerrald lived a life marked by dedication and resilience. He found his calling as a journeyman electrician, creating a legacy of hard work and craftsmanship through his self-employed endeavors in the electrical industry. He was not only skilled in his trade but also known for the kindness and warmth he extended to friends and family alike. Jerry enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. As well as going to his brother Billy's house to work on projects together. He is survived by his loving sister, Norma (Otis) Register, and his brother, Billy Miner. Jerry will be remembered fondly by his nieces and nephews, including Melanie (Roger) Winburn, Angela Watford, Melvin (Jenny) Watford, Jr., Ronald Blakely, Judy (Christopher) Melton, Jody Miner, Robert Miner, Jonathan Miner and many cousins and extended family members. Each carries a piece of him in their hearts, shaped by the memories they shared.
Jerry was preceded in death by: His parents Harry and Myrtle Miner, brother Robert Miner, sister-in-law Brenda Lynch, and brother-in-law Melvin Watford.
A funeral service to celebrate Jerry's life will be held on August 10, 2025, at 3:00 PM at Belk Funeral Home. Prior to the service, family and friends are invited to gather for visitation at the funeral home starting at 2:00 PM. Jerrald will be laid to rest following the service, where we will honor the remarkable man we had the privilege to know. As we reflect on his life, let us remember Jerrald for his generosity, work ethic, and love for those around him. He will be profoundly missed, yet his spirit will continue to inspire us in our endeavors.
