Jean Johnson Quick

Jean Johnson Quick, 91, of Darlington, SC, passed away on Tuesday, February 26th, 2025.  Born on June 23, 1933.  Jean was a strong, spirited, feisty and God fearing woman who always answered a call to serve. She cherished her family and took great pride in her home. She was an avid quilter and holds blue ribbons for some of her beautifully crafted pieces. She partook in all things fabric, from quilting to crochet, knitting, embroidery, the list goes on.  She was beloved member of Peaceful Makers and an active member at Mechanicsville Baptist church. Her love for the Lord was evident in all she did.

Jean "Granny" Quick was preceded in death by her Mother Rachel, Father Chesley; Her beloved husband, J.W. Quick; Her twin sister, Joan Lee; Her son, Richard Quick; Her grandson, Michael Quick; Her great grandson Asher Weldon and her great great grandchild "Kelly".She leaves behind to cherish her memory her son, Jimmy Quick; her daughter, Sherri O'Neal;  Twelve Grandchildren, Amy (Ben) Stabler, Andrew (Stacy) Quick, Rion Quick, Robert (Minji) Quick, Paul Quick, Angela (Christian) Weldon, Stormy O'Neal, Kyle O'Neal, Franklin Quick, lan Quick, Sarai Quick, Erin Quick;  Fourteen Great Grandchildren, Kristina (Bradley) Kelly, William Quick, Taylor (Ethan) Gates, Laura (Cameron) Bartlett, Logan Stabler, Skyler Quick, Tyler Quick, Lucas Quick, Rion Quick (Jr), Lincoln Quick, Harper Weldon, Everett Weldon, Connor Weldon, Lana Quick;  Seven Great-Great Grandchildren, Lilly-Ann Kelly, Laney Kelly, Finley Kelly, Braden Kelly, Charlotte Bartlett, Jackson Gates, Grayson Gates; and her brother, Robert (Betty Jo) Johnson.

A big, beautiful family stretched across the world that she took so much pride in, and she would tell you any chance she got.  She loved and was loved by many and will be dearly missed.  As we honor her memory and continue to cherish her, we invite you to join us. Jean will have a graveside service held at Mechanicsville Baptist Church Cemetery on Saturday, March 1st, 2025, at 11:00 AM. Belk Funeral Home will be overseeing the services.
