James 'Jim' W. Brewer

James "Jim" William Brewer, age 76, passed away Sunday, June 17, 2018. The family will hold a memorial service at a later date. Belk Funeral Home is assisting the family at this time. Born February 26, 1942 in De Queen, Arkansas, Jim is the son of the late William Brewer and Dora Roxie Brewer. He worked as a truck driver for Eagle Transport and Pilot Transport. Jim was an avid fisherman and was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather. He was a member of Temple Free Will Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife of 45 years, Myrtle Brewer; children, Beth McCormick, Crystal Lloyd, all of Darlington, Amanda (Dan) Chreerne of Houston, Texas, Bethany (Curt) James of Florence, and Cameron Hilton of Darlington. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Jonathon Bell, Kasey McCormick, and Taylor Thrombly; great-grandchildren, Jaylen Evans, Miasia McCormick, and Marcus Jones; and a special pet, Dixie.
