James "Jimmy" Marvin Boan

James "Jimmy" Marvin Boan, age 70 died Wednesday, May 18, 2022. A funeral service will be held 3:00 p.m. Thursday, May 19th in the chapel at Belk Funeral Home with burial following at Grove Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2-3 Thursday at the funeral home.

Born on October 31, 1951, Jimmy was the son of the late Johnny E. Boan and Jackie Galloway Boan. He worked at Lambert's Body Shop for many years. Jimmy enjoyed fishing, restoring his truck and loved riding his motorcycle. He attended Flat Creek Free Will Baptist Church in Darlington.

He is survived by a sister, Janice Britt of Darlington; nieces and nephews, Brandi Lloyd, Megan Britt, Eric Benoit, and Johnny Boan, Jr.

In addition to his parents, Jimmy is predeceased by a brother, Johnny Ray Boan; sister, Joyce Boan Benoit; and a brother-in-law, Kent Britt.
