James M. Marshall, Jr.

James "Jim" M. Marshall, Jr., age 88 died Tuesday, January 25, 2022. Burial will take place at Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery in Bishopville. Belk Funeral Home is assisting the family during this time.

Born on November 27, 1933, Jim was the son of the late James Melvin Marshall, Sr. and Bertha Riley Marshall. He worked as a farmer in the Lamar area for many years.

Surviving are a daughter, Kay Marshall of Eutawville; two sons, Brian (Rachael) Marshall of Hartsville, and Randy Marshall of Summerton; six grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a sister-in-law, Shirley Dority Nutter.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Dority Marshall; step-mother, Mildred Hoffman Marshall; step-sisters, Marilyn Marshall Hall and Dorothy Snipes; step-brother, William "Bill" Rhodes; and several sisters and brothers-in-law.
