James Grooms, Jr.

James "Runt" Grooms, Jr. age 76, went home to be with the Lord, Saturday, November 12, 2022. A memorial service will be held at a later date.

James was born on January 11th, 1946, in Lamar, SC, to James and Melissa Grooms. He worked as a superintendent at Sonoco for 38 and a half years. He loved his church that he attended New Market United Methodist Church and the Lord.

He is survived by his loving wife Brenda B. Grooms of many years. His daughter Mona (Todd) Newsome McLain of Patrick, SC. His grandchildren Hannah and Wells Newsome along with his great grandchildren Kamp and Livy Newsome, and sisters, Jeanette Howle of Hartsville, SC and Barbara (Robert) Mayers of California
