Jacob K. Hudson

Jacob K Hudson, age 91 passed away Sunday 19, 2022. He is predeceased by his wife of 66 years, the late Rosa D. Hudson. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 Saturday, with a service following at 2:00pm in the chapel of Belk Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Grove Hill Cemetery.

Born September 25, 1930, Jacob is the son of the late Hazel Hudson and Sallie Lee Hudson.  He retired from Dixie Cup after 42 years.  He enjoyed, reading, electronics, gardening and his beloved dogs.  Jacob was a long time member of Black Creek Baptist Church and a youth Sunday School teacher. He sang in the church choir for many years. Mr. Hudson served in the Army National Guard.

Surviving are his children; Cynthia Hudson Knight (Rev. Roger D. Knight, deceased), of Darlington, SC, Ken Hudson (Pattie P. Hudson), of Darlington SC, Dianne Hudson Hart (Frank M. Hart) of Conway, SC, Michelle Hudson Reynolds (L. Wayne Reynolds) of Darlington, SC, his grandchildren; Angela R. Knight, of Darlington, SC. Dale Knight (Dina M. Knight, daughter Camila) of Columbia, SC, Jacob Hudson III of Darlington, SC. And Jonathan Hudson of Darlington, SC; sister Rose (Cliff) Atkinson of Darlington, SC.

He was predeceased by his siblings, Maude Hudson, Audrey Hamilton, Aleta Atkinson; and a brother, Alan Hudson.
