Jackie A. (Turner) Windham

Jacqueline "Jackie" Annis Windham, age 86, passed away Saturday, July 23, 2022 at her residence. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, July 27 at 2:00pm at Newman Swamp United Methodist Church burial following in Lamar Cemetery; the family will receive friends Tuesday, July 26 from 6:00 until 8:00 at Belk Funeral Home in Lamar.

Jackie was born in the Windhamtown Community of Darlington County on October 22, 1935; she was the daughter of the late Effie Parnell Turner and John Hughes Turner. Jackie worked as a hairdresser, but also worked as a farmer and was a farmer's wife. She enjoyed going to the barn and playing music with her late husband on Friday nights.  She was a sports enthusiast and enjoyed watching her granddaughters play ball. She was a member of Zion United Methodist Church and loved doing work for her church.

She is survived by daughters Charlene (David) Copeland, Susan Windham, grandchildren; Carly, Emmy and Shelby Copeland, sister-in-law's; Isobel Norris, Doris Windham, Ada Margaret Turner, a son-in-law Barry Copeland.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Charles Windham, her daughter, Hope Copeland and two brothers Jimmy "Speck" Turner and Ned Turner.
