Horace Boseman

Horace "Blue" W. Boseman, age 77, passed away Friday, June 9, 2017. Funeral services will be held 4:00 PM Monday in the chapel at Belk Funeral Home, with burial following at Grove Hill Cemetery. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Born February 29, 1940, Horace is the son of the late Willie T. Boseman and Lenara Arie O'Neal Boseman. He worked at Perfection American, and for the S.C. Department of Highway and Transportation until his retirement. He loved dancing, enjoyed meeting people, and doing yard work. He loved his family, his grandchildren, and his canine friend "Poo Poo". He attended Dovesville Church of God. Surviving are his daughters, Lorna Boseman, Pam (Bobby) Edwards, both of Darlington, Darlene Boseman, Lisa (Todd) Kelley, both of Hartsville, Tonya Blackburn of Darlington; his sons, Horace "Billy" Boseman, Jr, and Jonathan (Anita) Boseman, both of Georgia. Also surviving are his grandchildren, Jessica, Hannah, and Haley Edwards, Ashley and Brandon Cole, Shane Atkinson, Skyler Kelley, Ashley Boseman, Kimberliah Brinkley; one great-grandson, Jax Edwards; and his sisters, Lenara (Charlie) Wallace and Bonnie Turbeville, both of Darlington. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Eunice B. Beasley and Dot Odom. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, www.alz.org.
