Henry Lee Browder October 5, 1948 – April 6, 2025  It is with deep sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of Henry Lee Browder, beloved uncle, brother, and friend, who passed away on Sunday, April 6th, 2025, at the age of 76. Henry was born on October 5th, 1948, in Florence, South Carolina, to the late James Franklin Browder and Myrtle Irene Miller Browder.

Henry was a man of great character, known for his kindness, strong work ethic, and devotion to his family. He was a longtime member of the Moose Lodge, where he proudly served as an officer. His dedication to community service and helping others was evident in every aspect of his life. Henry was also passionate about his personal interests—he enjoyed watching NASCAR, playing chess, and reading. Whether he was following a race, strategizing over a chessboard, or getting lost in a good book, these hobbies brought him joy and peace.

He is survived by his niece, Mary "Rebecca" Hudson George of Darlington, who was a source of great pride and joy in his life. Also he was survived by two nephews James David Hudson Jr and Shan-non Lee Langston that he loved dearly like his own sons.  Henry's memory will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and the many lives he touched during his time in the Moose Lodge and beyond. He was deeply loved and will be greatly missed.

Henry was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Browder; his parents, James Franklin Browder and Myrtle Irene Miller Browder; and his sister, Annie Irene Browder Truett.

The family has entrusted Henry to Belk Funeral Home who are assisting them in their time of need.  He chose not to have any services. Henry will forever be remembered for his devotion to others, his love for his family, and his zest for life.  Any donations can be made in his honor to the Darlington Moose Lodge at 1056 N. Governor Williams Hwy., Darlington, SC 29532.
