Hazel Alan Hudson

Hazel Alan Hudson, age 86, passed away Thursday, June 06, 2019. Funeral services will be held 3:00 pm Saturday, June 8th in the chapel at Belk Funeral Home with burial following at Darlington Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 2-3 pm Saturday at the funeral home, and other times at the home, 2641 N. Governor Williams Hwy. Darlington. Born September 30, 1932, Alan is the son of the late Hazel Hudson and Sallie Lee Hudson. He retired from Dixie Cup after 30 years. He enjoyed gardening, bee keeping, and he enjoyed growing trees. Alan was a member of Black Creek Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife, Lois Estelle Folsom Hudson; daughter, Myra H. Boykin of Darlington; son, Darryl (Barbara) Hudson of Matteson, IL; grandchildren, Justin, Patrick, and Courtney Boykin, Lindsay (Christian) Rush, Caleb, Rachel, and Noah Hudson; great-grandchildren, Peyton, Melanie, and Tucker; brother, Jacob "Buddy" Hudson; sister, Rose (Cliff) Atkinson. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Maude Hudson, Audrey Hamilton, Aleta Atkinson; and his son-in-law, Marty Boykin. Memorials may be made to Black Creek Baptist Church, 137 Mont Clare Rd, Darlington, SC 29540.
