Harvey Owens, Jr.

Darlington- Harvey Owens, Jr. , age 36, died suddenly on Friday, February 18, 2022. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, February 25th at 1838 Hayfield Rd, Darlington.  Anyone attending is asked to dress casual and come enjoy food, a bonfire, tell stories and share memories of Harvey. This will start at 4:00 pm and last until everyone is gone.

Harvey was born in Florence, son of Harvey Owens, Sr. of Georgetown and Barbara "Bobbie" Dority Owens of Darlington. He graduated from McBee High School and was employed by Remelt Sources of Darlington. Harvey was a hard-worker who enjoyed spending time outdoors, usually fishing or hunting. He was an avid Nascar and football fan. However, his true passion was spending time with his family, playing the card game "exploding kittens" and just hanging out. He will be remembered as "The world's best family man, husband, and father" by those who loved him.

In addition to his mother, Bobbie Owens and his father and step-mother Harvey and Laura Owens, Sr., he is survived by his wife, Megan Owens, their children: Aiden Owens and Adrian Owens, his brother, David (Daniele) Owens, Mike (April) O'Dell, several nieces and nephews and his "bonus daughter", Ann White

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Megan and Harvey's children, for future expenses by donating in Megan's name at SPC Credit Union.
