Wayne MorseHarland Wayne Morse, age 71 of Darlington passed the evening of August 6, 2026, while surrounded by his family. Family and friends are invited to pay respects at Belk Funeral Home on August 11th,2026 starting at 2:00pm, with funeral services to follow at 3:00pm, which all are welcome to attend. Burial will follow in Darlington Memory Gardens.Wayne was born in Florence, South Carolina to the late Harry Morse and Lois Player Morse. He graduated from St. John’s High School and then went to work in Hartsville in the steel industry. Mr. Morse was a talented guitar player and singer, and his serenades will be missed dearly by his wife. She and Wayne also enjoyed going to Civil War re-enactments in their younger years. He was also a big fan of The Wheel of Fortune, known to him as “The Wheel”.He is survived by his wife , Rose Marie Church Morse, children: Kathy (Scott) Stocker of Effingham, Donna (Chris) Suggs and Jamie (Audrey) Elliott: grandchildren: Duston (Ashley), Robbie, Kelly, Rachael (Hunter), Sierra, Jared (Lilli) and Lindsay, great-grands, Landen, Lillyan, Lilah, Holly, Madison and Aubrey, brothers, Donald (Carolyn) Morse of Raleigh, Robert (Kirsten) Morse of N. Myrtle Beach and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his siblings, Elaine, Leonard, Chip and Kenny.
