Geraldine (Gerrie) Reukele Murphy Turner, age 68, passed away on Wednesday, April 10, 2024. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday at 4:00pm in Grove Hill Cemetery, directed by Belk Funeral Home.

Gerrie was born in Lancaster, Ohio on March 21, 1956, she is the daughter of the late Freddrick Murphy and Estella Glenn Murphy. Gerrie and her twin sister Carrie were the youngest of 6 children. She moved to Marion, SC at an early age. She was a hard working woman with over 50 years in the grocery business, her sweet and friendly personality would be a key asset that would help build long-term relationships with her customers.  She was a majorette, so one of her hobbies was going outside and twirling a fire baton around. In her spare time, she liked to play card games like Uno and watch her favorite tv shows like The Golden Girls. She was always smiling and having a good laugh. She loved her music, her friends, and her family.  She will be dearly missed by all that knew her.

Gerrie is survived by her two sons, Christopher Lance (Millie Lee) Edwards, and Robert (Bobby) William (Deborah) Sherburn, grandchildren, Noah Sherburn, Liam Sherburn, Lucy Sherburn, Dalton Lee, and Kristen Edwards. She is also survived by her siblings, Everette, Augustine (Auggie), Elaine, and Caraldine (Carrie).

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, David Murphy.
