Gene Watford

Gary E. "Gene" Watford, age 57, passed away Friday, November 2, 2018. Born August 20, 1961, Gene is the son of Mary Jo Jefferson Watford, and the late Larry E. Watford. Surviving in addition to his mother, are his children, Gary E. (Teri) Watford of Hinesville, GA, Kimberly Ford, Sherri (Jesse) Hamilton, Nicole (Thomas) Howes, all of Georgia, and John Casey Watford of Lamar. Also surviving are his sisters, Lyna Munn, Melonie (Randy) Lee, both of Lamar, 11 grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews. In addition to his father, Gene was preceded in death by a niece, Dana Weaver. The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date directed by Belk Funeral Home.
