Gene Knotts

Trellis Eugene "Gene" Knotts, Jr., age 61, passed away on Tuesday, July 5, 2022 at his home. Gene was born in Hartsville, SC on September 14, 1960, son of the late Trellis E. Knotts, Sr. and the late Phyllis King Knotts.  He made a living as a carpenter, and was extremely talented in all types of woodworking and building.  In his spare time, Gene enjoyed riding his Harley and going fishing.

He is survived by his companion of over 20 years, Donna McKenzie Allen, children: Donald Tyler Knotts of Charlottesville, VA, Cheyenne Marie Knotts of Gettysburg, PA, Reanna (Ryan) Livingston of Georgia , Justin (Cassie) Vanderau of Arab, Alabama; step-sons, Joshua Allen of Sumter and Stanton Allen of Florence, eight grandchildren, and his sister Robin K. (Bryan) Galloway of Lamar.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Jeryl Knotts.

A visitation will be held at Belk Funeral Home in Lamar from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Thursday, July 7, 2022.
