Fred "Freddie" Watford

Fred "Freddie" W. Watford, Jr, age 52, passed away Sunday, September 30, 2018. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 3rd in the Lamar chapel at Belk Funeral Home, with burial following in Lamar Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home in Lamar. Born October 22, 1965, Freddie is the son of Fred W. Watford, Sr, and the late Francis Ann Parnell Watford. He worked as a foreman for Sumter Utilities for over 25 years. Freddie was an avid hunter and fisherman, and enjoyed his hobby of collecting boats. He was known for his quality work and took pride for everything he did. In addition to his father, Fred W. Watford, Sr; Freddie is survived by his wife of 31 years, Tracy Knotts Watford; three sons, Claud "C.J." M. (Robyn) Watford, Curtis W. (Courtney) Watford, and Christopher "Chris" (Raven) Watford, all of Lamar; grandchildren, Brianna Broach, Tristan McCracken, Austyn and Blake Beacham, and Trevor Watford; two brothers, Rodney (April) Watford of Lamar, and Brian Watford of McBee; a host of nieces and nephews, and his best friends and loving canine companions, Bailey and Skeeter. In addition to his mother, Francis Ann Parnell Watford, he was preceded in death by his infant brother, Todd Anthony Watford.
