Faye Huggins Galloway, age 84, passed away peacefully at her beloved home Monday, November 25, 2024. A graveside service will be held in Philadelphia Southern Methodist Church Cemetery at 3:00pm on Wednesday, November 27th.
Faye was born in Darlington on August 5, 1940 to the late Leo and Lillian Page Huggins. She was the CEO of the family farm and devoted her life to taking care of loved ones. She enjoyed riding the golf cart to the creek and around the farm making sure all was well. Her relaxation was cutting the grass and hitting a few roots on her John Deere mower. Faye grew up in High Hill Baptist Church and later in life attended Philadelphia Southern Methodist Church. She will be greatly missed. Her dedication and guidance meant everything to her family.
She is survived by her daughter, Cynthia Galloway of Darlington; several nieces and nephews, one in particular Mike Holloway (Janice) who checked on her regularly, her brother-in-law, Willie Galloway (Debbie), her sister-in-law, Judith Galloway and her feline "kids" who she often admiring said were getting fat.
In addition to her parents, Faye is preceded in death by her husband, James Galloway, son, Ricky Galloway, and her siblings, Nell Holloway, Rita Harrell and R. L. Huggins.
Special thank you to McLeod Hospice caregivers, Brandi and Shameka for the excellent care and always making her laugh.
"Mama, you instilled values in me and set examples that gave me strength as you went home, thank you for everything." – Cindy
