Ernest Phillip Gibson

Mr. Ernest "Phillip" Gibson, 64 of Darlington died in a local hospital on April 20, 2017. Phillip was the son of the late Ernest Dean Gibson and the late Peggy Ballard Bryant. He is survived by his wife, Susan Gibson of the home. Three children: two sons, Jamie Gibson, Steve (Nicole) Gibson and a daughter, Danielle Gibson; one stepson, Britt Atkinson; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; one brother, Richard (Kaye) Gibson of Walhalla, SC. Mr. Gibson was employed by Dixie Cup for 40 plus years until his retirement. He was an avid race fan and enjoyed watching TV. Family and friends are invited for a Memorial Visitation Service at the First Church of God, Darlington, on Monday, April 24, 2017 at 6:00 PM.
