Geraldine Elizabeth Langston Wright, 81, passed away on June 27, 2025. The family will receive friends from 4:00 until 5:00 on Monday, June 30, at Belk Funeral Home. A service will follow the visitation at 5:00 in the funeral home chapel.
Mrs. Wright was born in the Megs Crossroads community of Olanta on August 20, 1943. She was the widow of John Hampton Wright. Libby worked 35 years for Carolinas Hospital System as a dietician in food service. She loved her work, she loved the people she met there(because she never met a stranger!) and enjoyed having a good conversation with friends.
She is survived by her daughters, Jackie Elaine Huffman, Christine Barber, grandchildren: Donnie Lewis Huffman, Jr., Joey Barber, Jr., Jonathan Barber, great-grand children: Dezirae Naomi Huffman, Alexis Barber, Annaleigh and Jayden Barber, Eliah Barber.
She was the last living of her siblings, Leroy, Mary Bell, Louise, Billy and Hubert.
