Elaine Pope Williams

Elaine Pope Williams, age 67 died Tuesday, August 03, 2021. A graveside service will be held 11:15 a.m. Thursday, August 5th at Swift Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10-11 a.m. Thursday at Belk Funeral Home.

Born on August 23, 1953, Elaine was the daughter of the late Laverne Lewis and Lila Mae Jones Pope. She was employed with Nucor Steel and later worked as a waitress.

Surviving are her son, Lance Williams; her daughter, Amy Williams; grandchildren, Ethan and Fallon Williams; Jackson and Carson Williams siblings, Vermelle Parnell of Lamar, Edward (Millie) Pope of Sumter, Lucas Pope of Charlotte, Roland Pope of Lamar, Dorsey "Mack" Pope of California, Gerald (Sarah) Pope of Darlington and Martha (Dick) Godley of Darlington; and a number of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronnie Williams; a granddaughter, Brianna Williams; siblings, Jennings Pope, Janice Odom, Jake Pope, Laverne Pope, Richard Pope, and Faye Knotts.
