Edie Pipkin Bailey, age 64, passed away on Thursday, June 20, 2024. The family will receive friends on Monday, June 24th from the times of 6:00pm until 8:00pm in Belk Funeral Home and other times at the home of her daughter, Jessica Menasco at 1225 Indian Branch Road in Darlington. A funeral service for Mrs. Bailey will be held in the chapel of Belk Funeral Home at 11:30am on Tuesday, with burial immediately following in Florence National Cemetery.
Edie was born in Florence on October 23, 1959, she is the daughter of the late Coke Chesley Pipkin and Cleo King Pipkin. Edie worked as a nurse for Florence General for many years, she later worked with her aunt at Park Florist until her retirement. Mrs. Bailey had a passion for flowers and plants even outside of her work, she always kept plants on her back porch and enjoyed tending to them. Edie was an avid Clemson Tiger fan and frequently wore her Clemson attire or showed off her Clemson-color painted nails.
Surviving Edie is her daughter, Jessica (Chase) Menasco, stepdaughter, Jessica (David) Borgmeyer, grandchildren, Kody (Katie) Gulledge, Kassidy Menasco, Jace and Kelli Borgmeyer and a great-grandchild, Kayden Gulledge. She is also survived by her brother, Randall (Mona) Pipkin, sister, Brenda (Jeff) Howell, best friends, Jerry and Suzzie Evans, and nephews, J. Ryan (Anjanette) Howell, Jared (Jennifer) Howell, niece, Taylor (Dustin) Callahan and many other extended family members.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Danny Bailey, her brother, Robert Pipkin , her stepson, Daniel Bailey and her canine and feline companions, Shaggy and Petlee,
