Dorothy Jean Henderson Carter

Dorothy Jean Henderson Carter, age 93, passed away on Monday, January 16, 2023. A graveside service will take place on Wednesday at 11:00am in Westview Memorial Park Cemetery.

Jean was born in Hartsville, SC on November 25, 1929. She is the daughter of the late Alex Henderson and Dorothy Crowley Henderson. Jean worked with Georgia Pacific for 45 years before retiring. She attended and played the piano at Southside Freewill Baptist Church.

She is survived by her two sons, Les (Debbie) Carter of Santee, and Andy (Agnes) Carter of Darlington, six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and two special nieces, Dot Byrd and Fran Kelly.

In addition to her parents, Jean is preceded in death by her husband, Jack Carter.
