It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Dorothy O'Neal Flowers, beloved mother, sister, and friend, who left us on December 30, 2025, at the age of 70. Born on October 30, 1955, in Darlington, South Carolina, Dorothy cherished her roots and remained a steadfast member of her community throughout her life.Dorothy dedicated herself to caring for others, spending her days as a devoted housewife and a nurturing caregiver. She lovingly ran an in-home daycare, a passion born from her love for children, which allowed her to both care for her granddaughter and provide a warm, loving environment for other little ones. Her compassion extended beyond her own family, as she welcomed many family members into her home over the years, ensuring they knew the comfort of family.Dorothy is survived by her daughters, Susan (Jay) Holladay, Jenny Harrell, Stephanie Flowers; son, Josh (Morgan) Flowers, her brothers, Lavern O'Neal, Bobby O'Neal, Toby O'Neal, David O'Neal, Wade (Diane) O'Neal, and Alan O'Neal; her sisters, Bonnie (Mike) Loupo and Susan (Mark) Parker; and her cherished grandchildren, Madelyn and John Holladay, Ella and Levi Flowers. Her fur babies Boo Boo and Daisy will miss her greatly. Her family would like to honor her memory, celebrating the life of a woman who dedicated herself to the love and care of others.Visitation will take place at Belk Funeral Home on January 2, 2026, at 1:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM. Dorothy will be laid to rest in Hartsville, South Carolina, where she will forever rest near the many places that she loved. The family will be at the home of her daughter, Susan.Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband Donnie Flowers, parents, Tommy O'Neal and Jeanette Broach Funderburk, grandson, Ethan Harrell and nephew, TJ O’Neal.Memorials may be made to the Darlington County Humane Society, 580 East Washington Street, Hartsville SC 29550
