Dorothy Jones Britt

Dorothy Jones Britt passed away on May 7th, 2026. A graveside service will be held at Wesley Chapel Methodist Church Cemetery of Lydia on Saturday, May 9th, 2026 at 12:30pm, Belk Funeral Home will be conducting the service.

Dorothy was born on February 7th, 1943 to the late William Dorsey Jones, SR. in Florence, South Carolina. She was one of 13 children. Dorothy met and married the love of her life Wilbur Britt.

She leaves behind her son William “Buddy” Britt, daughters Diane Watford and Vivian Drew. Her sisters: Louvina Brown, Nellie Mixon, Ann McCray, Martha Yarborough, and Mary Ann Burkhart. Her brothers: Aiken Jones, Walker Jones, and Dorsey Jones.

Preceding her in death her husband Wilbur Britt, her parents, sister Rebecca Garrison, brothers: Boyce Rose Jones, Boyd Eric Jones, and Paul Jones.
