Donna M. Vaughan Darlington - Donna M. Vaughan passed away Sunday, April 17, 2016. A graveside service will be held 11:00am Tuesday, April 19th at Grove Hill Cemetery directed by Belk Funeral Home. Born in Greenville, SC; Donna was the daughter of the late Frances Roberson and N. Craig McCorkle. Donna attended Charlotte/Mecklenburg Schools and graduated from Columbia College in 1967. She was the first Speech Therapist in the Darlington area for 13 years. After several years of volunteer service she was owner/operator of Donna's Ditty and the Frame Shop. She was a member of Avondale Presbyterian Church in Charlotte until her marriage in 1972 and then moved her records to Darlington Presbyterian Church. She is survived by her brother-in-law, Eugene Vaughan; her sister-in-law, Pam Vaughan of Darlington; her niece, Claudia Vaughan of Boulder, CO; her nephew, William Vaughan of Columbia; three generations of cousins, cousins-in-law, and a close family of friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Claude A. Vaughan, Jr. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Free Medical Clinic of Darlington, 203 Grove St. Darlington, SC 29532; The Lord Cares Ministry of Darlington, PO Box 1457 Darlington, SC 29540; or to Darlington Presbyterian Church, 311 Pearl St. Darlington, SC 29532.
