Donald Joseph Mcdonald

Donald "Don" Joseph McDonald, age 74, passed away on Monday, December 4, 2023. Funeral Arrangements are pending at this time.

Don was born in Suffolk, Virginia on February 8, 1949, son of the late Roger McDonald and Lois Newton McDonald. Don graduated in 1968 from McClenaghan High School. He went on to serve in Vietnam in the United States Army as a Paratrooper. Don earned several medals during his time enlisted, some of which were the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Service Medal, Combat Infantry Badge, Parachutist Badge, Marksman Medal, Bronze Star Medal, and the Purple Heart. After his time overseas, Don returned home and was honorably discharged in January of 1973.

Don is survived by his cousin, Linda Hensley of Greensboro, NC.
