Dianne (Howell) Gilley

Vickie Dianne Gilley, age 76 died Sunday, October 10, 2021. A graveside service will be held 3:00 PM Wednesday, October 13th at Lamar Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2-3 PM Wednesday at Belk Funeral Home in Lamar.

Born on May 10, 1945, Dianne was the daughter of the late Aaron Howell and Esther Windham Howell. She worked as the manager of Walmart in Florence and Hartsville until her retirement. She enjoyed shopping, was an avid fan of the Atlanta Braves and Carolina Gamecocks, and she loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Surviving are her two daughters, Michelle (Ron) Westfall of Matthews, NC, and Melanie (Allen) Carpenter of Darlington; four grandchildren, Brittney Davis, Cameron (Alexis) Carpenter, Brandon (Tara) Boseman and Caylee Carpenter; five great-grandchildren; her sister, Becky (Nathan) Kenimer of Florence; her brother, Elvis Howell of Lamar; nieces Lori (Mike) Tumlin and Michelle (Billy) Hatchell; and a great-nephew, Mat Tumlin.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Gilley.
