Debra L. Blackmon

Debra L. Blackmon, 56, died Tuesday, June 14, 2016 in a local hospital. A funeral service will be held in the chapel of Belk Funeral Home at 3:00 PM on Friday, June 17, 2016 with a private family burial following in Grove Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 Thursday evening at the funeral home and other times at the home, 117 Caroline Circle, Darlington. Debra was born in Florence County on August 11, 1959, daughter of Carol M. Porter and the late J.F. Porter. In addition to her mother of Florence, she is survived by her husband, Chuck Blackmon of Darlington, her sons: Danny (Barika) Leftridge of Florence, Robby (Kymberly Ussery) Leftridge of Darlington, four grandchildren: McKenzie, Bryson, Blake and Gavin Leftridge. Also surviving are Debra's siblings: Jimmy (Kim) Porter of Hartsville, Larry (Pam) Porter of Florence, Bonnie (James Carroll) Rogers of Marion, Jane (Robert) Beasley of Hartsville, Tony (Cindy) Porter of Myrtle Beach, and Andy Porter of Florence, and many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, Debra wished that memorials be made to one's local Humane Society.
