Deborah "Debbie" (Barfield) Street

Deborah "Debbie" Barfield Street, widow of Billy Street,  passed away on June 28, 2025 at the McLeod Hospice House. Debbie's wishes were to be cremated, and a memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 12 at 2:00 at the Free Will Baptist Bible Church. The family will remain in the sanctuary following the service to greet friends.

She was born in Marion County, daughter of the late Leta Elliott and William E. Barfield. Mrs. Street worked as a secretary for most of her career. Debbie's devotion to Billy, their son, Wayne, and her entire family are well known. Family was first. When her health allowed she loved to spend time on or near the water. She also enjoyed music and "country was king". She was an avid reader which was, many times, a blessing to her. Her faith was strong and never failed her. Her acceptance of what could not be changed was an inspiration to those close to her.

She is survived by her beloved son, Wayne, and siblings: Diane (Cricket) Davis, Ronnie ( Dee) Barfield and Pearl Miles. Also surviving is her "extended" family, Lawrence (Sabrina) Street, Mike Street, Laura Rolfe and Michelle (Joe) Smith.
