It is with great love and cherished memories that we announce the passing of Debbie Davison, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, who left this world peacefully at the age of 68 on July 19, 2025, at their lake house in Manning, SC. Born on May 21, 1957, in Norfolk, VA, Debbie was a pillar of strength and warmth in the lives of those who knew her. As a dedicated homemaker, Debbie found joy in nurturing her family and creating a warm, inviting home. She was lovingly referred to as "Ma" by countless children and teens who were drawn to the comforting embrace of her home. There, with her husband Carl, her best friend, with whom she shared 50 years of marriage. She enjoyed sharing her passion for fishing and hunting, relishing the thrill of the chase as they listened to their dogs run through the woods. Debbie was an excellent baker, a talent that her grandchildren will always remember.
Debbie is survived by her loving husband, Carl Davison Sr., her son Carl (Tabatha) Davison , daughter, Tracy (Justin Corbin) Davison, and her cherished grandchildren: Tyler (Halee) Rogers, Carly (Dalton Allen) Cowick, Samantha Cowick, Aniston Davison, and Natalie Cowick. She also leaves behind her dear great-grandchildren, Adalyn Rogers, Everly Rogers, and Cullen Allen, as well her brother Terry (Robbin) Rogers, and her sisters Tricia (Chad) Watson and Tammy (Chad) Johnson and many nieces, nephews and extended family members. Join us for a Memorial Service to celebrate Debbie's life on July 24, 2025, at 5:00 PM at Belk Funeral Home, located at 229 West Broad Street, Darlington, SC 29532. We invite family and friends to share in this celebration, where we will honor the kindness, love, and laughter that Debbie brought into our lives. In honoring her memory, let us celebrate the extraordinary moments that Debbie shared with us and the legacy of love she leaves behind. Her spirit will forever resonate in the lives she touched, and she will always be remembered as a guiding light in our family.
Debbie was preceded in death by her parents Charles Rogers and Annie Rogers Adams, and her daughter Melissa Ann Davison.
Memorials may be made in her honor to St. Jude's Children Hospital or in her nephew's name, Jeffrey Lynn Kirby, to the Ronald McDonald House.
