It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of David Alan DiLeo, 66, of Darlington after a hard-fought battle with pancreatic cancer. He was born May 6, 1958 in Harvey, IL, son of the late Anthony "Tony" R. DiLeo and Margaret Wells DiLeo. He was a very proud veteran of the United States Navy, having served aboard the USS Nimitz. He loved his country.

David had a zest for life and was a thrill seeker, He loved NASCAR and attended many races here in Darlington with his friends, He loved riding his Harley and one of his highlights was riding it across the country one year prior to his cancer. His nickname was "Bigg Dogg" and when called, he always howled for you.

He is survived by his loving wife, Elizabeth Kelly DiLeo, his daughters, Marissa Elizabeth of the home, and Kathy Triplett (Mike) Carroll of Slate Hill, NY, his sister, Susan DiLeo Gardner of Darlington and brother-in-law, Stephen Gardner of Darlington, brother Anthony "Tony" DiLeo of Raytown, MO; sisters-in-law Tiffany Kelly, Ashleigh Haggins and Marie Hodges, brothers-in-law: Steve Cagle, , as well as nieces and nephews Karin Gardner Deligiannidis(Theo) of Columbia, Michael S. Gardner of Florence, Devon DiLeo Bagwell (Chris) of Lee's Summit, MO, Nick, Joe and Gabe DiLeo of San Fransico as well as many more.

He is also survived by his good friends, Dr. John Davis, Josh (Kelly) Cooper; and Davon, his best man at his wedding to Elizabeth; and of course, his little buddy, "Harley", his little Chihuahua.

He was preceded in death by his loving fiancé, Sandra Black and his buddies Chopper and Knotty.

A private family gathering to remember David will be held at a later date.
