Crystal O'Neal Kimbrel

Crystal O'Neal Kimbrel, of Washington, NC, formerly of Darlington, SC, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, January 12, 2018 after a courageous battle with cancer. A memorial service will be held Sunday, January 14, at 3:00pm at First Free Will Baptist Church in Washington, NC. The church is located on the corner of 10th St. and Bonner St. A funeral service will be held at Temple Free Will Baptist Church at 3:00 on Monday, January 15. Temple is located at 1660 N. Governor Williams Hwy in Darlington, SC. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Monday at the church. Burial will follow in Philadelphia Southern Methodist Church Cemetery. Born in Darlington on November 16, 1966, Crystal is the daughter of John Edward O'Neal and the late Gloria Jean O'Neal. Crystal graduated from Welch College in Nashville, TN, with Bachelor of Science degrees in Bible and Elementary Education. Crystal worked as a school teacher and also enjoyed worshiping the Lord through her wonderful ability to sing and play piano. She was a kind and loving mother and devoted wife. Mrs. Kimbrel is survived by her husband of twenty-seven years, Rev. Bruce Kimbrel of Washington, NC; her two daughters, Kayla (John) Newland of Pleasant View, TN; and Elizabeth Kimbrel; a sister, Jennifer O'Neal of Florence, SC, and many extended family members. Memorials may be made to Welch College in Gallatin, TN.
