Consolacion Lazaro Corpuz

Consolacion "Ching" Lazaro Corpuz, age 81, died peacefully at home after a short illness Wednesday, January 17, 2018. A memorial service will be held in the chapel at Belk Funeral Home on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at 2:00PM. Officiated by a special friend and Pastor Dee Bulante. The family will receive friends following the service at Belk Funeral Home. The family will also receive friends at other times at the home of Cielo and Marshall Boice at 118 N. Spain Street in Darlington. Born February 22, 1936 in Manila, Philippines, she is the daughter of the late Gabriel S. and Soledad Duque Lazaro. Mrs. Corpuz was a schoolteacher who loved children and valued their education. She was loved by all of her family from the Philippines and here in Darlington, where she has lived the past five years. Surviving are her daughters, Cielo (Marshall) Boice of Darlington, Christine (Nathan) Burnsides of San Diego, CA and her siblings: Virgilio Lazaro and Leticia Gonzalez.
