Clifford 'Bo' E. Small

Clifford "Bo" Earl Small, age 75, died Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at his residence. A Memorial service will be held in the chapel of Belk Funeral Home at 11:00 AM on Friday, September 30, 2016. The family will receive friends at the home, 1225 Old Millpond Road, Darlington. Born in Darlington on November 21, 1940, he was the son of the late Clifford E. Small, Sr. and the late Viola Truett S. Flowers. Bo's birthfather passed away at an early age, and Bo was raised by his step-father, Claude Flowers. Mr. Small served in the United States Navy and then worked as a welder in the power plant maintenance industry for Daniel Construction. He retired from Champion Paper Mill in Roanoke Rapids, NC. He is survived by his wife, Bobbie Trader Small, three daughters, Deborah (Wilbur) Sprouse of Gaffney, Michelle (Don) Blankenship of Hickory, NC, Shallee Boykin of Darlington, a step-son Ed Ray (Gina) Tyner , Jr. of Darlington, a step-daughter, Susan (Ricky) Williams of Darlington, six grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and a step great-grandchild. Also surviving is his sister, Claudette (David) Guinn of Lamar.
