Cindy Marie Gainey

Cindy Marie Gainey, age 64, passed away on Saturday, June 1, 2024 at McLeod Hospice House. A visitation for Mrs. Gainey will be held on Thursday, June 6th in Belk Funeral Home from the times of 6:00pm until 8:00pm.

Cindy was born in Florence on July 14, 1959, she is the daughter of the late John Buddy Gainey and Juanita Miles Gainey. Mrs. Gainey worked for Georgia Pacific Plate Plant for a short period before working for Wallace Meat Skins where she retired. Cindy loved going over and watching Rosie and Jade, she was a caring mother outside of her family, she loved kids and had many that called her "Mom". She loved being out in nature, whether it was just walking around enjoying the fresh air or being on the water fishing.

Surviving Cindy is her son, Ronnie 'Bug" (Lori Kinney) Gainey, four grandchildren, Danielle Keith, Maurice Peterson, Amy Boyer, and Buddy Ray Kinney, five great-grandchildren, Jordan Keith, Phoenix Boyer, Kaiden Baker, Rosie Burbage, and Jade Burbage.  She is also survived by her two sisters, Linda Medlin and Shirley Goodman.

In addition to her parents, Cindy is preceded in death by her husband, Ronnie Gainey, Sr., and a brother, Johnny Gainey.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Belk Funeral Home c/o the Gainey Family to help with funeral expenses.
