Chuck Leverne Hatfield, age 65, passed away on Sunday, November 24, 2024 at his residence. A visitation will be held from 11:00am until 12:00pm on Monday, December 2nd in South Lexington Baptist Church at 116 Brevard Pkwy in Lexington, SC. A funeral service will take place in the church sanctuary at 12:00pm, with burial immediately following in Celestial Memorial Gardens.
Chuck was born in Florence, SC to the late James Franklin Hatfield and Vonnie Zou Powell Hatfield on October 1, 1959. Chuck worked as a loading manager for Consolidated Systems, Inc. and later was an owner/operator driver for FedEx. In his younger years he had a passion for racing, he loved to work on his cars and race them every chance he got. Chuck enjoyed being outdoors fishing and camping, watching football, and always loved hanging out with his grandchildren who affectionately called him "PawPaw". Chuck was a very active member of South Lexington Baptist Church and part of "The Young At Heart Group".
Surviving Chuck is his wife of 30 years, Marilyn Jane Anderson Hatfield, his five children, Kristin Hatfield, Ashton Hatfield, John Broome (Christy), Steven Broome (Amanda), Jason (Emily) Broome, grandchildren, Grant, Jacob, Blayne, Karys, Caedman Leo, Braiden, Robert, Grace, Tyler and Mason. He is also survived by his brothers, Ernie (Barbara) Hatfield and Billy (Crystal) Hatfield, along with many nieces, nephews, other loved ones and his three canines that he loved dearly, Zoey, Winston and Willie.
