Christine (Hill) Phillips

Christine Hill Phillips, age 87, peacefully went home to be with her Lord and Savior on September 3, 2022. A graveside service will be held in Lamar Cemetery on Tuesday, September 6 at 11am, directed by Belk Funeral Home. The family will receive friends following the service.

Christine was born on November 27, 1934 in the Grassy Bay community of Horry County, SC. She is the daughter of the late Gordan Hill and Mary Lizzie Jolly Hill. She was a devoted housewife and loving mother. She enjoyed cooking and keeping up with the news. Mrs. Phillips was a member of Lamar First Baptist Church.

She is survived by her children, Jerry (Robin) Phillips, Judy (Franklin) Fountain, Billy (Shirley) Phillips, 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, LaRue Phillips, son, Ruey Phillips, daughter, Christie Gray, brothers, Ralph and Raleigh Hill, sister, Jewel Huggins.

Mrs. Philips was truly blessed by her friendship with Tip Bell throughout the years; and the family would like to thank Dr. Brandie Reynolds for her compassionate and excellent medical care.
