Chip Brian Melton

Chip Brian Melton, age 57, passed away on February 1, 2023. A visitation will be held Friday in Belk Funeral Home at 2:00pm until 3:00pm, with a funeral service following in the chapel at 3:00pm. Burial will follow the service in High Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.

Chip was born in Darlington County on December 8, 1965. He is the son of the late Elwyn Gray "E. G." Melton and Gladys Suggs. Chip worked as a custodian for the Darlington County School System and the Pee Dee Regional Center of Disabilities and Special Needs. He always enjoyed going fishing and hunting with his dogs especially rabbit and deer. Chip was a member of High Hill Baptist Church.

He is survived by his loving wife, Linda Melton, sisters, Trina Powell and Kathy Melton, and special friends, Michelle Godfrey, Terry, and Pam Blackmon, Michaela Blackmon, Aubrey Blackmon.

In addition to his parents, Chip was preceded in death by his brother, Roddy Melton.
