Cheryl Blackmon Suggs

Cheryl Blackmon Suggs, age 72, of Darlington passed away April 28, 2019. She is predeceased by her husband, Billy W. Suggs. A graveside service will be held Sunday, May 5th at 3:00 p.m. at Grove Hill Cemetery directed by Belk Funeral Home. The family will receive friends following the service. She was born August 11, 1946, in Darlington, the daughter of the late Furman Blackmon and the late Cloey Andrews Truett. After graduating from St. John's High School, she spent her career of more than 30 years working for AT&T. After retirement, Cheryl enjoyed spending time with friends and family and loved being outdoors working in her yard. She is survived by her daughter, Priscilla (Andy) Young of Lexington, SC and her grandson, Ethan. She is preceded in death by her husband, Billy W. Suggs; mother, Cloey A. Truett; step-father, Pete Truett; father, Furman Blackmon and brother, Dennis Blackmon. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Prisma Health Children's Hospital - Midlands, 1600 Marion St, Columbia, SC 29201.
