MANNING – George Charlton June II, 75, husband of June Kathryn Frankart June, died Saturday, June 28, 2025, at McLeod Health Clarendon.

Born April 8, 1950, in Florence, he was a son of the late George Charlton June I and the late Daisy Irene Bazen June. He was a 1975 graduate of the University of South Carolina and a member of Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church in Manning. Charlton, a man truly like no other, was larger than life and left a lasting impression on everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him. To know him was to love him. He was the life of the party, the kind of person who lit up every room simply by walking into it. With his vibrant spirit, warm heart, and unmatched charisma, he brought joy, laughter, and unforgettable memories to family, friends and even strangers. He was one of a kind – a rare soul whose legacy will live on in the countless stories, lessons, and love he leaves behind.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years of Manning; six children, Allyson Goff (Dan) of Hartsville, Jenna June, Hanna June, Kara June, all of Charleston, Charlie June and Tyler June, both of Manning; four grandchildren, Casey Kelley (Brittany), Cody Kelley (Nikki), both of Hartsville, Lilly Gannon and Cooper Gannon, both of Charleston; three great grandchildren, Emma Grae Kelley, Coleman Kelley and Cale Kelley; five brothers, Michael June of Hartsville, Billy June of Darlington, Bobby June of Hartsville, Barry June (Joanne) of Darlington and Donald June of Hartsville; three sisters, Irene June of Manning, Marilyn Sanza (Bruce) of Darlington and Sharon June (James Irby) of Lake Keowee; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Joanne June.
