Charles G. Watterworth

Charles "Chuck" G. Watterworth, age 74, passed away on Wednesday, December 13, 2023. A memorial service will take place in Darlington Presbyterian Church on Monday, December 18th at 1:00pm, visitation will follow the service in the sanctuary.

Chuck was born in Darlington on August 21, 1949, son of Doris Grinnell Watterworth and the late Bruce Watterworth. Chuck worked in maintenance at the Lexington Country Club in Columbia. He was a very sociable and good-hearted person, Chuck never met a stranger and loved socializing with everyone he met. Chuck enjoyed all sports, with football being his favorite, he was a die-hard Clemson Tigers and Detroit Lions fan.

Chuck is survived by his mother, Doris Watterworth, his wife, Jennifer S. Watterworth, two sons, Jay Watterworth, Jeff (Ashley) Watterworth, stepchildren, Tymon, and Mariah Johnson. He is also survived by his granddaughter, Anna Watterworth.
