Charlene Amerson Lloyd

Charlene Amerson Lloyd,age 49, of Lamar passed away on Thursday, December 7, 2017 after a courageous battle with cancer. A Memorial service will be held at Will of Faith Church , Saturday, December 9th at 2:00 PM, directed by Belk Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 PM at the church, and other times at the home of Rip and Brenda Parnell, 1025 Hibiscus Road, Lamar. Born in Florence County, she is the daughter of the late Charles W. and Sylvia Cowick Amerson. Charlene had worked in maintenance at Magnolia Mall in Florence. She was a devoted and loving mother to her son Randall, and enjoyed spending time with her family. She is survived by her son, Derrick Randall Lloyd II, her brother, Durwood "Durby" Amerson, her nephew, Brad (Jennifer) Amerson, a great-nephew, Collin Amerson, a special friend, Alvin Andrews, and her puppy, "Sweet Pea". In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials are made to Belk Funeral Home to help with funeral cost.
