Darlington - Charlene Ann Louise Bell, age 71, passed away Wednesday, February 28, 2018. Funeral services will be held 5:00 p.m. Saturday, March 3rd in the chapel at Belk Funeral Home. Born March 5, 1947, Charlene is the daughter of the late Benedict Overend and Virginia Overend. She was raised in Charlestown, Rhode Island, and then moved to Charleston, South Carolina. Charlene owned a boat repair business in Charleston, and worked in real estate in both Charleston and Jacksonville, FL. Surviving are her husband, Clarence Bell; her children, Heather M. (Matthew) Jordan, Heath M. Smith; her grandchildren, Ashley N. Jordan and Coleman E. Jordan; her brothers, Jimmy Overend and Timmy Overend.
