Carol Chapman Purvis

Carol Chapman Purvis, age 54, died Saturday, December 17, 2016 at her home. A funeral service will be held at Welsh Neck Baptist Church at 4:00 on Tuesday, December 20th, with burial following in the church cemetery, directed by Belk Funeral Home. Born in Bennettsville on January 15, 1962 she is the daughter of the late Ronald and Grace Driggers Chapman. Carol was a LPN and had worked for Dr. Moyd at CARESOUTH in Society Hill and also worked many years at Morrell Nursing home. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially this time of year, with Christmas being her favorite holiday. She is survived by her husband of 36 years, Bobby Purvis, two sons, Jason (Kacee) Purvis of Hartsville and Joe Purvis of the home, grandchildren: Wyatt and Leah Purvis; two sisters, Debra (Roger) Oxendine of Society Hill and Rhonda (Theo) Lindsey of Cheraw, also, her canine companion, Roxy. Carol will be taken home for a time of visitation from 5:00 PM until on Monday, December 19. The family address is 6186 Society Hill Road, Society Hill, SC 29593.
