Carol Moore Matthews

Carol A. Moore Matthews went home to be with her Lord on Tuesday, May 9, 2017.Carol was a loving mother, wife and friend who always gave far more than she received. We will miss the light and joy she brought to every soul she touched. She dedicated her life to ministry, having worked for eighteen years at Precept Ministries in Chattanooga, TN and Just for Women Ministries in Darlington and Florence. She greeted everyone she met with a hug and ushered joy into the lives of each person in her life. She will be forever cherished and always missed. She is dancing now and is free! She is survived by her son , Michael Jay (Todd Milliner) Matthews of Los Angeles, CA, her sister, Jeaneane Moore of Huntsville, AL , her sisters-in-law Ruthie Matthews of Darlington and Louise (Oscar) Maisel of Bayreuth, Germany. She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Matthews. A visitation will be held at Belk Funeral Home from 5:00 until 7:00 pm on Friday, May 12th. In lieu of flowers, and to honor Carol's love for the ministry, memorials may be made to Just for Women Ministries, PO Box 1081, Darlington, SC 29540.
