Brenda Darlene Odom

Brenda Darlene Odom, age 66, died Sunday, October 9, 2016. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 in Swift Creek Cemetery on Thursday, October 13, directed by Belk Funeral Home. Born on December 24, 1949 in Darlington County, she was the daughter of the late Leona Catoe Atkinson. She worked as a nurse in the medical field, and had worked at Oakhaven Nursing Home for many years. Mrs. Odom enjoyed reading her Bible and doing word puzzles. She always enjoyed time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is survived by her children, Kenneth Odom of Hartsville, Michael Odom of Darlington and Tina (Garbriel) Thomas of Florence, grandchildren: Kennie Elizabeth Watford, William Odom, Christen Hill, Tyler Bellamy, Heather Bellamy; and great-grandchildren: Alexis, Aubree, Hunter, Princessa, Amaya, Dominique and Demitri, her brother, William Elbert (Norma Jean) Catoe of Hartsville, a special friend, Robert Howle, a dear cousin, Joyce Tarte and her canine companion, "Boo". She was preceded in death by her husband, Freeland Odom. Memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice.
