Bobby C. Odom, age 85, died Saturday July 2 at his grandaughters home following an illness.Graveside services will be held 3pm Wednesday July 6 at Grove Hill Cemetery.Visitation will be held 2-3 Wednesday at Belk Funeral Home.
Mr.Odom was born in Darlington County, son of the late Alston and Eva Knotts Odom. He served his country in the U.S. Army before coming home and working over 34 years with Dixie Cup and then becoming CEO of Dixie Federal Credit Union. He was married to the late Mary Lee Odom. One would see Bobby faithfuly walking 5 miles everyday. He took pride in the appearance of his house,yards and garden and also was an avid golfer.
Surviving is his grandaughter Beth and her husband "Brent" Yarborough of Florence and their children Connor and Mason,grandaughter Katelyn "Hunter Culpepper" Odom and her children Madison,Brentley,Remmington Locklair and Easton Eagerton, four brothers: Hubert,Lee,Dusty and Danny Odom. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a son Kevin Odom,and four siblings Weldon and Barry Odom, Margie Dennis and Myrna Asaro.
