Bill Knight

William "Bill" Carlton Knight, age 76 died Saturday, October 9, 2021. Funeral service will be held 5:30 PM Wednesday, October 13th in the chapel at Belk Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 4-5:30 Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will take place 10:00 AM Thursday at Florence National Cemetery.

Born on December 30, 1944 in Monroe, NC, Bill was the son of the late John C. Knight and Joyce Knight. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Bill was owner of Knight's Roofing for many years.

Surviving are his wife of ten years, Patricia Garey Knight; his children, Sue Ellen (Marion) Baxley, Darryl (Sylvia) Knight and Christopher (Tina) Knight; step-children, Robbie (Kim) Odom, Tommy (Ashley) Odom and Jamie Odom; grandchildren, Ashley, Matt, Samantha, Garrett, Grayson, Sydney, Alexis, TJ, and Savanah; two great-grandchildren, Jaxson and Abby; son-in-law, Clint Howle; siblings, Johnny (Sherrie) Knight, David (Janice) Knight, Bobby Knight and Linda Flowers.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Candace Howle.
